My wallet name is Lisa Brandt Heckman. I was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 10, 1969, and grew up in small-town Illinois. I lived in various Chicago suburbs from October 1987 to 1990, then Chicago proper until June 2001, when I moved to Portland, Oregon. I also spent four months in 2005 studying in Heidelberg, Germany.
I received undergraduate degrees in Linguistics and German language from Portland State University in 2007. I will attend Portland Community College starting in January 2012, where I plan to study either Computer Information Systems or Electronics Engineering Technology.
Other things that I have spent a lot of time on: working in print shops, acting, drawing and painting, crafts, bike commuting, weight training, Linux, writing and performing music (keyboards and vocals), traveling by train, and reading (mostly non-fiction and science fiction). I'm currently a volunteer in the Build Program at Free Geek.
